Day three has passed and I feel like John and I accomplished a lot! John finished up the school’s symbol (the bagua and yin yang), while I finished the volcano (minus the smoke). I also got a great start on the Javanese Jungle.

Day 1 & 2 of A Mural

A couple of weeks ago I got an exciting commission. I was asked to create a mural depicting a martial artist’s evolution in his career this far.
So far, I’m two days into this beast and it’s going great! The first day I spent about 2 hours drawing out the sketch on the wall and about 6 hours painting. The second day I spent about another 6 hours.
Both days I had the help of my wonderful husband, which was awesome. The first day I had a bit of help from a young girl named Hailey, who said she liked to paint.
I sure do have a long way to go but I’m excited to see where this painting journey takes me.

Magnolia Elbow Flower Tattoo

Here’s an interesting flower I tattooed recently. This young woman asked me to tattoo a magnolia flower on her elbow. It was a lot of fun to tattoo and she say like a champ!

Moving in June

I’m ecstatic to announce that in June I will be joining the crew of Dark Star Tattoo in Vancouver, Washington!
I have had an interesting time here in Georgia, to say the least, but on April 27th, I will be starting a new adventure.

My schedule is currently full here in Georgia but I do have a waiting list started. If you would like one last tattoo from me before I leave just send me an e-mail with your name, number, and design idea in it and I’ll put you on the list.

Realistic Bird of Paradise Flower Tattoo

One of my favorite things to tattoo are realistic flowers.

This week a good friend of mine honored me by having me tattoo a realistic bird of paradise flower on her. I tattooed the bird of paradise flower on her left shoulder blade. The tattoo took about 3 hours to apply and she sat like a champion.

I like to create tattoos that have a colored outline on them. I believe it makes the subject matter look more realistic. You can see in the first picture how the lines of the paradise flower tattoo change color depending on the spot of the flower. Look closely to notice the detail!

Sea Turtle Cover- Up Tattoo

This tattoo is a cover-up a did for a woman on her ankle. She came to me with an old lizard, wanting a beautiful sea turtle instead. This is what I tattooed for her! I had so much fun! Cover-ups are some of my favorite tattoos to create.
